I added photography, retouched the layouts and created a completely diffeent clock for the easy mac in illustrator...
I am going to make a kids mac n cheese which will include cartoon characters (possibly spongebob, nickelodeon classics or simpsons...or all 3)

WOW, the colors look so different from the print-out! I like this yellow-blue version (on printed piece it was more of a purple). I like the photo of a prepared product, it makes it more attractive as a food label; especially for the bottom version with the clock, before it looked more like a tool or some mechanical device package. The only thing that I probably would change is the space between the objects - they are so evenly spaced out now, so even there are some negative space on the layout, it's hard to notice, everything looks so packed and about the same size.
ReplyDeleteI think the photo of the fork needs more work. I think I'd like to see a whole bowl instead of a few noodles. It would give you this idea of getting a lot for a little. Also, on the top one the n'... shouldn't it be 'n' because you're taking away the a and the d? Also, I think it should be moved out a bit from the mac. It's kinda blending together.

I think the first one is working the best because all of the visual elements are leading your eye in one direction. In the second one it feels like too many things are going on at once and your eye isnt really sure where to look , so maybe there is a better way to place the elements so it flows better.

Work on hierarchy with font, try and stay away with helvetica. and the top one is working better.
ReplyDeleteAdding the image has helped your design tremendously. I think it's working very well. I like the colors a lot. Although they are the same colors as the original design, but there's something different about your design that has made it unique and interesting. One thing I would change about it is to move the KRAFT logo a little bit farther than the EASY MAC.

I really like the fact that you added the fork with the mac and cheese, it makes it more appealing for the buyer in the store. The clock looks very nice with the shadows.

These look fantastic. The first works really well but the second seems a little busy. Since it has the clock does it need the fork too?
ReplyDeletethe last part i think you need to solve is the bar with original and ready in minutes. not sure if gradient is best choice yet and maybe its coming from the wrong side
